TX newsman Dale Hansen lays down the law on Michael Sam and the NFL
In an email to The Huffington Post, Hansen said he's surprised at the response his segment unleashed. "Some people don't seem to believe this — I honestly didn't think it was going to be that big a deal," he said, adding he's received more than 700 "overwhelmingly positive" emails from around the U.S. and one from a young high school boy in Canada.
When asked for his thought process on taking such a firm stance and then broadcasting it, Hansen responded thus: "I write only what I believe — and I simply believe what I wrote. Seems like common sense to me — nothing more or less."

I saw this on an Australian site. It is great but I do have to note similarities between this and images I've seen of a recent Colbert section. Either way the more people saying it the better. It really is a backward and embarrasing situation.

What's impressive here though is that this man is a newscaster in Texas, the most conservative state in the whole USA.

This is brilliant. I can give two shits for who people want to love and fuck. It affects my life in zero ways if someone is gay or straight. I know who I am and what I like but I have no right to tell someone that they are wrong for loving who they love and doing what makes them happy. Hopefully our world can get over this hurdle and start to realize how petty it is to discriminate against gay persons.
It also isn't like there isn't enough homo-eroticism in sports with all the ass tapping anyways. . .
